Mike Thornton, a 13-year front-office veteran in professional hockey, today was promoted to Vice President of the Philadelphia Phantoms. In his new role, Thornton will oversee all of the day-to-day operations of the Phantoms, the American Hockey League affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers. He had been Director of Public Relations for the Phantoms since 2005.
